The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can choose a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers and to clean up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.
In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it encounters a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving forward.
What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the hidden bin, as well as cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can create detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can push the L10s into the premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
