Like other robotic vacuums, the X8 Hybrid has some issues with floors that are not clean. It may miss fur and small items and is known to knock things like its charger on the charging platform. It's not as quiet and the whirring noise can be distracting as other models.
Roborock V3S pro
This model doesn't have as many features as some of the more expensive ones we tested, however it does have the basics covered. It has a large enough dust bin to cleaning robot mop and vacuum hold a lot of dirt before it needs emptying, and its mop and vacuum system works great on both carpets with low pile and hard floors. It's also very quiet and we could watch TV while it was cleaning without feeling like it was blazing us with the sound.
Our test subjects were extremely impressed by how easy the machine was to operate and set up. They also appreciated the ability to clean all the mess from their floors. It even did a pretty good job of picking up pet hair and messes on carpeting, though it was less successful in removing stubborn staining. The app was simple to use and intuitive. The V3S Pro did not make it onto our top choice lists from trusted sources who perform hands-on tests, but it was praised by Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They appreciated the ease with which it was set up and use, but they did note that its battery life is limited and it wasn't able to avoid some of the most difficult mess we've put it through.
